About Our Group
What is CSI? By our baptism we are “incorporated” into the church body,
the Body of Christ. CSI is a place JUST FOR SINGLES in the church community,
where “faith and fun meet and marry”.
What’s the goal of the group? To get you off the couch and
mixing with other happy, holy, and interesting Catholics. We’ll
have social events, faith sharing and bible study, and community
service projects. We want to provide a place for you to deepen your
friendships and your Catholic faith.
Is this a Catholic pick up club? No. Predators will be given the
Catholic boot!
Who can join? Sacred Heart Catholic Church invites all baptized
and practicing Catholics who live in the Coachella Valley and surrounding
areas to join CSI.
What’s in it for me? Food, fun, fellowship and faith enrichment.
Weekly meetings, monthly social events, day trips, parties, dinners,
dances, community outreach and holiday events . . . Maybe even a
cruise in the future!
Are there membership dues? No, but some events will include a modest
cover change, like dinner dances or day trips.
My Protestant friend wants to come, can she? Sorry, but there are
other fun places in the valley to fellowship with other Christians.
This group is for those who may end up or who want to be “equally
yoked” (as Scripture says) with others who take their Catholic
faith seriously. Marriage today is hard enough; an undue burden is
placed on the relationship when there is not a shared faith. If she
wants to know more about the Catholic Church, invite her to bible
study or go to www.Catholic.com for solid teaching.
I’m Divorced. Can I join? Yes, widowed, never married, and
divorced single Catholics of any age are welcome. If you are currently
going through a divorce or are separated, you are not yet SINGLE,
and not ready to begin dating again, but we can help. We offer loving
support through our Divorce Rx classes (see
church website/ bulletin for info).
I’m nervous about dating and not sure if I want to marry.
Should I still come? Yes! This is not a Catholic dating service,
although if you are looking, then finding a spouse in the group would
be a great blessing. For most people, though, the blessing will be
finding new friends, social support, and—hopefully—entering
into a deeper understanding and love for your Catholic faith.
I just want to be happy. Will this group do
it for me? Christ shows
us how to find happiness here on earth: in the sincere giving of
one's self for others. Please consider Sacred Heart CSI a place not
so much where you can come and get something, but a place to share
your unique self, your gifts and talents . . . and most of all your
heart.
